Welcome to the KCDSA website.  For the general public and non-members of the Association, I want to dispel a myth about the Association; we are not a union organization nor do we have union ties or beliefs.  As our Mission Statement explains, we are committed to improving working conditions and most importantly the welfare of our members.  We are an organization made of up the employees of the Sheriff’s Office and ran by the employees of the Sheriff’s Office to help give the employees a voice.  We are dedicated to working with the Sheriff’s Office and the Board of County Commissioners to help hire, train and retain the best employees we can.  In doing so, we hope to provide “An Innovative, cost effective government the community can be proud of, committed to a high quality of life and excellence in public service.”
